We had a really fun Valentine's Day. Sometimes I think Valentine's Day is overrated, but it was a good excuse to do something fun together. No gifts, no high expectations, Jason and I just wanted to make memories together. And that's what we did. This is how our day went:
We woke up early and got ready to go to the KU vs. Baylor basketball game in Lawrence. We packed snacks and warm clothes for our wait outside and were out the door by 9:00.
We got to Allen Fieldhouse early enough to get a decent spot in line and got great seats to watch the game from. Jason won these tickets again, so we felt really grateful to have the chance to go to another KU game!
We loved the pre game festivities. This time we were able to join with the newspaper confetti, alma mater song/swaying, rock chalk jayhawk chants, and all the other traditions we just sat and watched the last game we went to.
The game was another nail biter. KU was down by 15 or so points at half time and we were getting nervous. But, true to Jayhawk form, they had an amazing second half and ended up coming back to get the win over Baylor. We had a blast. Phog Allen Fieldhouse is unreal.

After the game, we drove back to Kansas City and went to our favorite Indian restaurant, Korma Sutra. To say it hit the spot would be an understatement. We felt so spoiled to get to eat there. It was such a treat.
When we got home, it was early in the evening, so in honor of our Indian cuisine, we cuddled up on the couch and watched The Hundred-Foot Journey.
It was the perfect Lover's Day.
